Completed Birmingham Police Department Citizens on Patrol course, 2015. Norwood Neighborhood president 2015-2017.

Main Issues: If elected, LaMay advocates a Comprehensive Blight Program to address and re-purpose vacant lots. She also calls for a renewed emphasis on the police department’s Block Watch program to build stronger ties between officers and the community. She wants to increase city-sponsored activities for all ages at all city parks, as well as improve access to public transit across the city. She wants to increase civic pride in all Birmingham neighborhoods and increase accountability for city departments. LaMay also advocates streamlining the licensing process in Birmingham to encourage businesses to relocate in the city limits.
