Main issues: Pettway believes there is a disconnect between the council and the citizenry. He believes he can bring new ideas in education, crime, health care and poverty. He says on his campaign Facebook page that he wants to work closely with the District 4 neighborhood associations, its school board member, the city’s public works and recreation staff and housing authorities to create more family-friendly events in the district, make health and safety improvements and promote home ownership.
