Main issues:  Repeal of Alabama’s tax on groceries and a tougher ethics law top Wentowski’s key issues. He also wants to tackle  Alabama’s opioid crisis.

“The major issues I will address if elected are: Repeal of the state level grocery tax; develop solutions for mental health reform; push for and pass the ethics omnibus bill SB343; develop an advanced technical economy, starting with education, and direct resources to local communities to combat the opioid epidemic,” he said. “We can impact these items and improve Alabama for all Alabamians. We will have honest, open government for Alabamians that cultivates our economy and serves its people.”

Wentowski urged the electorate to turn out in the upcoming primary.

“Last time this seat was contested only 1,816 total ballots were cast, but the District has greater than 40,000 residents of voting age,” he said. “I urge you to vote. Together we can chart a new, better path for Alabama.”
