BirminghamWatch Temporarily Suspends Publication through August

Good morning, everybody,
We are forever grateful for the support we received during our summer emergency fundraising effort, as we secured $9,795 in donations and commitments. We did fall short of the $25,000 minimum needed to continue regular operations until the expected receipt of a grant in October and the $50,000 overall goal.
As a result, BirminghamWatch has suspended regular publication until at least September 2, 2025. We have one outstanding profile related to our ElectionWatch 2025 coverage that is currently scheduled to publish later today. We will also continue to work to complete our voter guide for Birmingham’s upcoming municipal elections on August 26. We will share that link in the coming days on this website, via our newsletter mailing list and on our social media accounts.
I continue to invite anyone who has even a few dollars to spare to help us return to producing BirminghamWatch sooner than planned. Sharing stories you find helpful and insightful with others will also help us as we work to increase our visibility in the city.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at andre@birminghamwatch.org.
Thanks again for your support of journalism for The City Built to Change the South.
