Political experience: Running for state House of Representatives District 45. This is her first run for public office, but she has served in multiple leadership roles with the Shelby County Democratic Party and the Alabama Democratic Party.

Professional experience: Retired insurance executive, including having served as regional vice president for Ward THG/Ward North America; also worked with Crump Followill and Crump as an insurance agent, GAB Business Services as an adjuster and Evers and Associates as an adjuster. Served in multiple leadership roles with the National Association of Insurance Women.

Civic experience: Involved with Delta Zeta Sorority Alumnae, where she has served as president and secretary, and with Spain Park Patrons of the Park, where she served as vice president of fundraising. First Christian Church Birmingham, Sunday school teacher, deacon, youth leader, 1982-2004.

Education: Bachelor’s from the University of Alabama in finance, 1975.
