Founded in 2015, BirminghamWatch is a digitally powered nonprofit news organization produced by the Alabama Initiative for Independent Journalism, covering Birmingham, Alabama—the City Built to Change the South— and greater Jefferson County. We strive to serve as a primary resource of information for those curious about and willing to be part of the city’s story.
