Main issues: The candidate is concerned about the many superintendents the Birmingham Board of Education has had in the past decade. “It appears this system is like a woman who has a problem with every man she marries,” she said. “Her children suffer neglect because maybe her focus, her priorities are not in order. I want to help, by joining a team of like-minded people, who are dedicated, committed, who have the heart, the passion and love for this city of Birmingham and its school system; to search and find solutions for all our problems. A good board will steer the direction and attention of their administrators to focus more on the wellbeing of our children.”
