734 New Cases of COVID-19 Reported in Monday Update
The Alabama Department of Public Health added 734 cases of COVID-19 and one death in its daily report Monday.
The state has recorded 166,076 cases of the disease, consisting of 146,223 confirmed cases and 19,853 listed as probable.
There have been 2,665 deaths in the state since the pandemic began — 2,509 confirmed and 156 probable.
The number of people hospitalized in Alabama stood at 812 on Sunday, the highest since a count of 814 on Sept. 14. The highest single-day total of the pandemic was 1,613 on Aug. 6.
The daily dashboard showed Jefferson County with 87 new cases of the coronavirus, the most in the state.
