Alabama Hits 999 Confirmed Cases of COVID-19, 13 Deaths

Alabama had hit 999 confirmed cases of COVID-19 by the end of the night Tuesday with 13 confirmed deaths.

In total, 24 deaths linked to the new coronavirus had been reported to the Alabama Department of Public Health, which then confirms coronavirus as the cause of death.

The Birmingham area continued to be the hotspot of the epidemic. Jefferson County had 282 confirmed cases, 3 reported deaths and no confirmed deaths. Shelby County had 86 confirmed cases and three reported deaths, with two of those deaths confirmed. Chambers led with the most reported deaths among its residents, four, with three of those deaths confirmed as COVID-19 deaths. In all Chambers had 36 reported cases of the disease.
