Professional experience: In private practice for 25 years focusing on family and domestic matters; two-time past president of the Legal Aid Society of Birmingham; has been listed for multiple years in the Best Lawyers in America, the Top Attorneys in Birmingham, and in SuperLawyers.

Civic experience: Past chair of the advisory board for DELTA Inc., a charitable organization formed by members of the Birmingham Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority to maintain a life development center in Birmingham’s Green acres neighborhood and support community programs for youth and adults; coaches the National Moot Court Team for Cumberland School of Law; mentors students; received the Pro Bono Service Award from Cumberland School of Law; past member of the Women’s Committee of 100 and the United Fellowship Breakfast Forum; member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.

Education: Undergraduate degree from Washington & Lee University; law degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
