Served in the U.S. Army and National Guard, retired judge advocate and Iraqi veteran. Main issues:  Establish Veterans Treatment Courts in all 67 counties; bring in more effective training for judges, reduce the cost of litigation, promote more trustworthy outcomes in the courts, ensure every tax dollar is spent wisely, conservative rulings with no judicial activism.

On his website he points to his work as a lawyer to “defend religious liberty and protect conservative voices from being cancelled on woke college campuses.” He also said that as a senator he supported bills to streamline the executive branch of state government and cut spending, and he sponsored the bill that repealed a legislator pay raise.
