Main issues: Chad Hanson seeks to serve his community on a larger scale and lead the state back to the conservative principles on which it was founded. The youngest son of two educators, Hanson said he learned determination and the value of hard work watching his parents serve the community as teachers and his father as superintendent of the local schools. As a justice on the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals, he said, he would fight judicial activism, adhere strictly to the Constitution and fight against agenda-driven litigation. He promised to serve those who come before the court and lead with honesty, integrity and respect.
