Political experience: Running for Alabama House of Representatives, District 47.
Professional experience: Retired businessman. Had a 40-year career in computer science and information management, including as vice president and chief information officer at Loyal American Life Insurance Company in Mobile and as a divisional vice president and chief information officer at Protective Life Insurance Company in Birmingham.
Civic experience: Has been an active community volunteer and is now a member of the Lion’s Club service organization; previous member of the Rotary Club, including as a chapter president. Active in his church, including serving as moderator of the Presbytery of Sheppards and Lapsley.
Education: Graduated from Southwest State Technical Institute in Mobile, where he studied information technology. Continued those studies at the University of South Alabama.
Main issues: Wants to work across the aisle with Republicans and independents to get things done; expand Medicaid; invest in education, particularly K-12 through the first two years of post-secondary education; make it easier for qualified Alabamians to register and vote; ethical leadership; and protect Alabama’s waterways.
