Education: Livingston University, 1986-88; Southern Junior College of Business, associate’s degree in computer science, 1988-90; ABCD Training Center, business/medical certificate, 1991.

Major issues: The candidate said she would institute prayer days. “And we wouldn’t just have one prayer day in Birmingham,” she said. “We would have prayer often, so that we can keep our city prayed up at all times.” Other priorities included the repair of roads, the installation of streetlights and the reduction of litter.
