Main issues: “The State Auditor’s primary task is to keep track of personal property, owned by the State, and valued over $500.00. I want to do that job, and I am the only candidate with that experience. As a prosecutor, I have prosecuted property crimes throughout Alabama. This is an essential trait for the current auditor. In addition, Alabama needs an Auditor who will focus on that job. We cannot afford to pay taxpayer money for a salary for an Auditor who pursues issues outside the scope of his or her office. Especially when the extracurricular activities are to further their own political career. This is a waste of money for a salary and for the property that is not properly accounted for. I promise to serve the State and do so with integrity.”
Top contributors: McGraw-Webb Chevrolet, Camden, $1,000; Lee J Yi, Pike Road, $500.
