Main issues: Since her election in 2010, U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell said, she has been focused on creating jobs and expanding economic opportunities, increasing access to quality affordable health care, improving infrastructure, strengthening Social Security, making communities safer, providing affordable housing, protecting democracy and educating children so they can reach their potential.

In Congress, Sewell said she has led the fight for voting rights and has “delivered on my promise to create better economic opportunities, lower unemployment, increase funding for HBCUs, and brought millions of dollars to our state, counties, cities and schools. I’m running for reelection so that I can keep the pressure on Washington and continue to fight for our shared values.”
