Political experience: Has served on the Jefferson County Republican steering and executive committees and as legal counsel to the Jefferson County GOP. He’s also worked with the state Republican Party for almost 15 years and as its general counsel for the past four years.

Professional experience: Air Force veteran, lawyer.

Civic experience: Volunteer with the United Way and the Boy Scouts with his local troop and as an officer with the Greater Alabama Council; deacon and youth Sunday School leader at Dawson Baptist Church in Homewood.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree, Duke University, 1984; Law degree, Harvard University, 1991

Main issues:  Election integrity, adhering to the rule of law, defending the Constitution and the First and Second Amendments, commitment to public service.
