Professional experience: CEO of The Shooting Institute, which trains local law enforcement, military personnel and civilians in self-defense, from February 2013 to present. Shelby County Sheriff’s deputy, June 2013 to June 2014. U.S. Navy SEAL Operator 1st Class, March 2011 to November 2012. U.S. Navy SEAL Operator 2nd Class, August 2008 to March 2011. U.S. Navy SEAL Operator 3rd Class, October 2006 to August 2008. Firefighter I/EMT I & II for Cahaba Valley Fire District, August 2004 to October 2006.

Civic experience: Member of Gardendale First Baptist Church. In 2019, started a nonprofit, Covenant Rescue Group, that combats human trafficking worldwide, but in particularly in the United States.

Education: Master in Business Administration, Liberty University, 2021. Bachelor’s in management, University of Phoenix, 2015. Fire College, 2005.

Main issues: Reduction in crime. Better relationships with municipalities across the county. Stronger leadership within the office of sheriff. Being better stewards of the budget approved by the county commission. Recruitment and retainment will also be a top priority.
