Birmingham Board of Education, District 2

The Birmingham Board of Education is a nine-member elected body that works with the superintendent to establish a vision for the school system by adopting goals and policies that address student needs, advance student performance and overall operations of the system. The board also approves operating budgets.

District 2 includes: W.J. Christian K-8, Banks Middle, Robinson Elementary, Barrett Elementary, Curry Elementary, Putnam Middle, McElwain Elementary and Gate City Elementary schools.
