Birmingham Board of Education, District 6
The Birmingham Board of Education is a nine-member elected body that works with the superintendent to establish a vision for the school system by adopting goals and policies that address student needs, advance student performance and overall operations of the system. The board also approves operating budgets.
District 6 includes: Elyton Elementary, Washington K-8, Center Street Middle, Spaulding Elementary, Hemphill Elementary and Jackson Elementary schools.
