Professional experience: Practicing attorney since 1993, including time spent in private practice, as an assistant district attorney in Bessemer area, 2010-2013, and as a staff attorney with Metro Birmingham Legal Services.
Civic experience: Pro bono legal work with the Birmingham Volunteer Lawyers Program and with various churches; former mentor with the P.I.N.K. program; worked with Habitat for Humanity through Faith Chapel Christian Center.
Education: Birmingham School of Law, juris doctorate, 1992; bachelor’s in psychology, University of Alabama in Huntsville, 1982.
