Number of Alabama COVID-19 Cases Climbs to 215

The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Alabama reached  215 today, with Jefferson and Shelby counties accouting for more than half.

The Alabama Department of Public Health’s morning update today showed cases of COVID-19 confirmed in 25 of the state’s 67 counties , with 90 cases in Jefferson County and 24 in Shelby County.

Madison and Lee counties reported 21 cases each followed by Tuscaloosa, 9; Elmore and Montgomery, 8 each, St. Clair, 4; Baldwin, 3; Chambers, 3; Lauderdale, 3; Mobile, 3; Walker, 3; Calhoun, 2; Cullman, 2: Limestone, 2; Franklin, 1; Houston, 1; Jackson, 1; Lamar, 1; Marion, 1; Morgan, 1; Talladega, 1; Tallapoosa, 1; and Washington, 1.
