Number of Alabama COVID-19 Cases Rises to 466, Spread Across 48 Counties
There have been 466 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Alabama, the state Department of Public Health reports today.
The disease has been reported in 48 on Alabama’s 67 counties, led by Jefferson County with 142 cases, Shelby County with 50 and Lee County with 45. One death from the disease has been reported, that of a Jackson County resident. The person’s name and other information about the case have not been disclosed, except for the fact that the patient was a part-time employee at the county courthouse in Scottsboro.
Madison County reported 39 cases, followed by Tuscaloosa County 17; Walker, 17; Montgomery, 16; Mobile, 13; Limestone, 11; Elmore, 10; Chambers, 9; Morgan, 8; Lauderdale, 7; Marion, 7; Autauga, 6; Cullman, 6; St. Clair, 6; Baldwin, 4; Chilton, 4; Talladega, 4; Tallapoosa, 4; Etowah, 3; Houston, 3; Marshall, 3; Blount, 2; Calhoun, 2; Dallas, 2; Franklin, 2; Jackson, 2; Lawrence, 2; Pike, 2; Wilcox, 2; Bullock, 1; Butler, 1; Cherokee, 1; Choctaw, 1; Clay, 1; Cleburne, 1; Coffee, 1; Colbert, 1; Coosa, 1; DeKalb, 1; Lamar, 1; Lowndes, 1; Marengo, 1; Pickens, 1; Russell, 1; Washington, 1.
