The Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama has looked behind the legislative battles to root causes of the recurrent problem. And now PARCA is reporting on an initiative to address the issue.
A newly formed Joint Legislative Task Force on Budget Reform has met for the first time in Montgomery. It is made up of House and Senate members assigned to study and recommend changes to the state’s broken system for budgeting.
PARCA will provide updates on the work of the Budget Task Force throughout the fall. Here’s the first report.
