Political experience: Elected in 2010 to serve as a circuit court criminal judge in Jefferson County; presides over the mental health court.

Professional experience: Practiced law with Dawson & Wallace, specializing in criminal, civil rights and employment cases; served as a specially assigned court prosecutor.

Civic experience: 2018 graduate of Leadership Birmingham; president of The Historic Young Men’s Business Club; regularly volunteers at the Project Homeless event at Boutwell Auditorium.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from Birmingham-Southern College; law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law.
