Voter Turnout Tops 35 Percent

More than 35 percent of Birmingham’s 119,433 registered voters cast ballots in Tuesday’s city runoff election.

Voter turnout Tuesday topped the 27 percent turnout for the Aug. 22 city election.

Tuesday’s ballot contained races for five school board seats, three City Council seats and the mayor’s office.
