Public health agencies in Alabama are offering websites to provide a wide range of information about COVID-19 cases, where they are occurring and how to get tested.

The sites are updated twice daily as the number of cases increase.

The Jefferson County Health Department’s coronavirus page presents advice on coping with the disease; breaking down the types of businesses that are operating and closed; distribution of cases according to ZIP codes;  and demographic breakdowns.

The Alabama Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 Data and Surveillance Dashboard includes overall numbers on confirmed cases of the disease in Alabama, number of people tested and the number of deaths reported. It also shows a breakdown of cases by counties. The dashboard features a map linking to COVID-19 test sites around the state. Users can click on a highlighted site for details about its address, hours of operation, phone number to call for appointments and other information.
