  • Birmingham City Council, May 19, 9:30 a.m. | Agenda
    • Item 1 – The mayor’s proposed General Fund budget for the city will be presented for the fiscal year 2026-2027.
    • Items 16 + 17 – These public hearings are set to amend sections of the city code related to parking offenses, potentially allowing an administrative fee to cover certain collection expenses.
    • Item 18 – An operating agreement to provide services to the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport’s fire station for the next three years.
  • Economic and Workforce Development/Tourism Committee Meeting, May 19, 11:30 a.m. | Agenda
    • Item 3 – Provides funding support for one (1) year related to the new education and visitors center building at Sixteenth Street Baptist Church, not to exceed $250,000.
