Political experience: Elected to Alabama Senate in 2018, reelected in 2022.

Professional experience: Founded his own real estate sales and development firm in Birmingham; in graduate school, started an international import/export trading company with an office in South Korea; worked for Blount International in Alabama, South Korea and Saudi Arabia, and for Jim Wilson and Associates in Montgomery.

Civic experience: Roberts has served with the Entrepreneurs Round Table, Alabama Policy Institute, Young Business Leaders, Campus Outreach International and College Golf Fellowship. He has been board chairman at Racerunners and Leachman Ministries in Great Falls, Virginia. Roberts was a youth baseball coach. At Briarwood Presbyterian Church, he serves as an elder, is a board member at Briarwood Christian School and is chairman of Briarwood Ballet. At Auburn, Roberts was a Student Government Association senator, vice president and moderator of Simulated Model United Nations, and was chaplain of the baseball team.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in building construction, Auburn University; master’s degree in real estate development and urban affairs from Georgia State University.

Main issues: Create a culture that attracts jobs and industry and deregulate business; get tax dollars to classrooms, expand vocational training in high schools and expand distance learning to connect high schools to universities; maintain and expand Alabama roads.
