UAB and the Alabama NAACP are hosting a virtual public information session on the coronavirus vaccine tonight at 6 p.m.
The session is open to anyone who wants to join in. Topics to be covered by UAB doctors include vaccine safety, vaccine hesitation and vaccine effectiveness.
Public health officials have been trying to encourage Alabamians to get one of the vaccines available to combat COVID-19. That effort has been particularly difficult among Blacks, which is why the NAACP has gone across the state conducting meetings to discuss the virus and answer questions and concerns about it. That effort culminates in tonight’s event.
