University Boulevard through UAB will be down a lane for the next two months as work on the new Volker Hall Atrium continues.

Beginning Wednesday, the northern-most lane of University Boulevard will be closed to traffic between 15th and 18th streets South, taking that side of the road down to one lane, according to a statement from UAB.

The construction project will create a new entrance to Volker Hall, which is expected to be open in July.
