- Item 3 – This ordinance allows for the City of Birmingham to sell ~25 acres of currently undeveloped land in its Grand River Technology Park to BK Propco for $1,850,000. They will, in turn, build and operate a karting facility on the property. It is the first reading for this ordinance. It’s been recommended by the Mayor’s office and the Council’s Budget and Finance and Economic Development and Tourism committees.
- Item 4 – This item is currently on consent and allows the city to enter a project agreement with Baldwin Properties, providing a forgivable loan not to exceed $300,000. Baldwin Properties would then work to acquire and redevelop the property at 1909 14th Ave. N. into a mixed-use project with residential and commercial tenants. It is recommended by the mayor and the Council’s Committee of the Whole.
