2025 Birmingham Municipal Candidates

These are the lists of candidates for the 2025 City of Birmingham municipal elections. They will be updated to include links to candidate bios as they are published. If someone is missing from these lists, please do not hesitate to contact us so we can include them.

Note: Any candidate with a “†” next to their name is unopposed. These names will not appear on the municipal election ballot and will be officially certified during the canvassing process on September 2, 2025, according to the city clerk.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO VOTE

The election is Aug. 26. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. If a runoff is required, that election will take place on Oct. 7.

• Vote by absentee ballot – Please note Aug. 21 is the last day you can hand deliver a regular absentee application to the City Clerk’s office.
